It is one of the oldest grape varieties found in Sicily. Grown in the hilly area around Agrigento, it has a very pleasant and harmonious taste and aroma. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates, then destemmed and macerated at a controlled temperature of 24-27°C. Refinement takes place in stainless steel tanks for a period of about 6 months. Before being sold on the market, the wine is left to rest in the bottle for another month.
A bright red wine, recognizable for fresh and fruity notes of black cherries, blueberries and raspberries. Soft and balanced, this wine is verstile and remarkable also in bold pairings with pizza, also excellent with appetizers and main courses. Recommended serving temperature between 14-16°C.
