Clos du Moulin des Moines can trace its history back to 962 when the monks of Cluny began cultivating vineyards there. The Cisterians managed the domaine for over 6 centuries before it fell into private hands. It was purchased by the Andrieu family in 2008. Jordane Andrieu earned a degree in oenology at the University of Dijon and worked at De Montille and Lafon for 3 years in preparation for taking over the domaine.

The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, worked by horse and hand-harvested. They have beehives at the edge of the vineyards to encourage biodiversity and fermentation is with natural yeast. They currently produce a little over only 300 cases of white...really fantastic old school whites.
