Desafinado, Douro 2019

The Desafinado Douro red is a blend of Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca fermented in stainless steel and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels. In the glass, the wine sits a deep ruby color with purple highlights. On the nose, intense aromas of black berried fruit intermingle with spice and a dusty earthiness. Full-bodied and concentrated with soft tannins and a beautifully persistent, integrated acidity, the Desafinado delivers exceptional fruit intensity and minerality which lead into a complex finish with great length. Enjoy with barbecued meats, braised rabbit or a hearty beef stew.
