Uco Valley | Mendoza, Argentina

100% Malbec 14.3%

Gualtallary Vineyard : Planted on alluvial, stone-covered sandy soils in the northernmost sub-region of the Uco Valley, Tupungato.

Vista flores Vineyard : Planted on mixed soils of sand, limestone and clay in the central western sub-region of the Uco Valley, Tunuyán.

Winemaker Santiago Reta believes that power is a consistent, driving force in Mendoza, so he aims to incorporate characteristics of balance and finesse in his wines.

The fruit selection is instrumental in defining the blend; joining the freshness and minerality from Gualtallary, and bold fruit structure and tannin from Vista flores. Short macerations and the use of neutral oak provide the perfect backdrop for showcasing natural complexities.

12 months in neutral French oak barriques.

Offers aromas of muddled black and red cherry with deeper underlining nuances of ripe plum. Holds pleasing freshness and mineral contributions through the finish. Tannins are bold, but sleek and polished.
