Founded in Charlottesville Virginia in 2020

Bottle House has always had a different feel than most wine shops. Louie Cornay, owner-operator has decades of expertise in the worlds of wine, beverage and hospitality. He carries a philosophy of genuine customer service, value, and has fun discovering and sharing wines from around the world. A New Orleans native & a Cville resident for 20+ years  it's his genuine pleasure to serve you whether it's helping select the perfect bottle, choice of beer or finding something new for any and every occasion.

In December of 2023, Bottle House was reborn with a Wine Bar serving both wines and beers by the glass as well as cheeses and charcuterie. That holiday season also sparked a friendship that would take Bottle House into the future.

With his ever growing love for community, wine & music, Brian Levy new part owner…brought with him fresh eyes with an expanded calendar of events. Music plays a big role in both owners lives, and so a Friday music series was born and is ongoing 52 weeks a year. We changed up the front of the shop by creating a seating area to continue to grow this fun & infectious vibe..whatever your wine groove happens to be

At Bottle House we have something for everyone's palate from all over the globe. You will find wines from throughout Italy, Spain, and France. We have an especially fine selection from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Rhone. 

Looking for something different?

You'll find a nice selection from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and South America, at all different price points. 

Of course we carry the best of what's right here in the United States. We have some hard to find gems from the Pacific Northwest and of course selections from the state of California. 

If beer is more your groove, we have a large selection from some of our favorite breweries all over the country and beyond - Brooklyn Brewery, Dogfish Head, Lever, Rothaus, Maine Beer Company, and Von Trapp, along with some Virginia favorites including Ardent, Zero gravity, Parkway brewing and more. 

Come join us for a glass and chat! Our wine bar selection is continuously rotating through all different varietals, including one-of-a-kind wines that you can only get here at Bottle House. In addition, we incorporated draft beer on our menu, so you can find that hard to get draft Pilsner, Lager or IPA to quench your thirst. 

Hungry? Stop in for cheese and charcuterie to complement your pour. We feature a diverse selection of cheeses and meats, always served with mouth-watering accoutrements and same-day fresh bread from ABC bakery just across the street!
