Domaine de Fenouillet Beaumes de Venise Les Terres Blanches 2022

While the vines are in Beaumes de Venise, famed for sweet Muscat, this bold red has more in common with Vacqueyras or Gigondas. The Grenache, Syrah and scattered Mourvedre vines on on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail mostly on old terraces. Aged all in concrete, the 2020 is terrifically delicious, serving up bold blackberry and dark chocolate aromas and flavors with dusty cocoa and a squirt of tangy raspberry juice on the finish. Satiny in feel and supple on the finish, this will keep improving for 5+ years.
